Amouage is an Omani house built around frankincense, with full-bottle prices to match, which makes it a natural one to sample first. Outlands is smoky frankincense over vanilla, oud and amber, Decision is bright pink pepper and bergamot over frankincense and cedar, Reflection 45 is powdery neroli and orris over vetiver and sandalwood, and Purpose 50 is frankincense, papyrus and creamy sandalwood.
